THE Dream
Oh what a dream it was….
Every time I think of it I feel transported to that moment of sweet innocent intimacy….
I wish I could remember every detail of the dream…but nevertheless the little that I do is the most significant…
The place is Bangkok… and he is a new guy, I’ve never met before. A fellow Fren!! and he is cute! He definitely caught my attention… but I didn’t do much at first… I remember there were other people around (though I cant remember who)… but the point I remember is a few of us were sitting around on the floor or something, tired… some were already lying down, the both of us were talking, he was sitting about 45° to my left and we both had our legs stretched out-knees up and they were criss-crossing with each other. Then at one point he dropped his head over his knee and my head touched his (his slightly longish hair and mine colliding) and this position was held for a while… I think he was saying something that was hard or discomforting so the gesture just felt so natural, yet so intimate… then after a moment of silence I broke away and slowly went down to a lying position while holding his hand for a grip…. he followed me n lied down too but moved a lil closer, then he held my fingers and just gently massaged my two last fingers till I fell asleep (though I was kinda wide awake with excitement)… I had no idea he was interested in me until that moment… and I think some people who were there saw it too… He had the kindest face and the sweetest personality….
I hope I will get to meet him…. Whoever he may be…

ART Expo
had the opportunity to attend the Malaysian International Art Expo last nite... very interesting... art galleries from the region and some from Europe had their works displayed... one Malaysian artist who works with glass made this amazing HUGE piece out of glass.... was of a colourful fish pond.. was on sale for RM85K! lots of other really cool art pieces... some very innovative... one chinese guy used paper from recycled books to create portaits.. very cool! oh i could go on n on...
after seeing all that i feel like painting again! :)
bumped into my former student/collegue (Snow) who is now managing an art gallery and also bumped into a college mate (Justin) who still paints n plays music! also got to speak to a couple of interesting people...
the crown prince n princess came to officiate the Expo.... and they had this awesome HUGE Maserati car!! its beautiful.... but the cost of that one car could prob be enough to pay for the education of 50 kids or more in Africa!! it's a really nice car... and yes he is a prince... but it is the countrymen's tax money!! it's not fair. and then there is the new palace that is being built which costs 800million!!! for what??! whats wrong with the old one? whats goin to happen to it then?
sigh.... these things frustrate me!!

Spoken language styles
i have noticed that Malaysians love to repeat their words... it's as if they need to emphasize everything... sometimes twice, sometimes 3..
come, come
faster, faster
there, there
taxi, taxi
yes, yes
no, no
right, right
oh the list goes on.... pretty much everything is and can be repeated.
the other thing is how people like to start their sentences... my brother i've noticed, tends to start his sentences with "so"... so weird! and he claims that alot of malaysians start with "no", which he said is so negative, thats why he decided with so! another fren, starts with anyway...
rather interesting to observe....

1st wedding in Oct....
Priya’s wedding was nice…. a lot of Indian/hindu culture infused into the ceremony as well... mostly done in tamil, but guess its prob cause majority were tamil speaking...
I think Priya is one of the quiet Indian girls who may seem a bit conventional but she is amazing young lady with a very strong will and a clear head.. I think she will be able to handle challenges that come along her way. Mathan also seems pretty tough n stubborn but he might soften up to her…
I think I was the only one in a dress!! And a short one at that! This has never happened before. Most young girls were in Punjabi suits… ah well who cares! Priya was her sweet self… she did something really funny though… while she was seated on the pelamin, she kept putting her feet in the air and making small circles, was so cute n hilarious, yet somewhat discreet….
I think I shall borrow a Punjabi suit or sari or something more Indian to the next Indian wedding…
Friday's lunch....
The highlight of my 3rd week at work was the last day- Friday, when one guy who works as a field biologist with the Tiger project (1 floor below me) came to my place, sometime after I had gone out to have my lunch, ALONE! Anyway he introduced himself as Mark and I introduced myself. After a couple of intro questions (which I don’t really remember) he asked me if I’ve had lunch… I said I had but could accompany him if he wanted… then he looked at my laptop which I had been focused on and said only if I didn’t have any work to do… and so off we went! It was quite a shock that I so easily said yes to him and I found myself feeling excited and quite at ease surprisingly… we went to a nearby cafĂ©… he didn’t eat. But we had drinks. Talked about a variety of things… what we do, used to do, talked bout the Faith a bit, he gave me a bit of advise for work... it was altogether pretty nice... i hope there will be more!
